Private vs. Semi-Private (per person) Tours: Finding Your Perfect Fit
At Lokahi Scuba, we believe in making every dive as unique and memorable as the island of Oahu itself. Whether you’re seeking an exclusive adventure or a more budget-friendly option, we offer two charter styles designed to deliver the same exceptional Lokahi touch: private and semi-private tours.
The Key Differences
Private Charters: With a private charter, it’s all yours—just you, your group, and our crew. This means total exclusivity, unmatched privacy, and the freedom to tailor every aspect of your dive experience. Private guide shore dive starts at $125 a person and private boat charters starting at a flat rate of $850 per group, perfect for families, couples, or small groups seeking a bespoke adventure.
Semi-Private Charters (boat only): For those looking to share the aloha spirit (and the boat!) with another dive party, semi-private charters are a fantastic option. While you’ll share the vessel, your group will still enjoy its own dedicated Lokahi dive guide, ensuring a personalized experience underwater. Semi-private tours are charged per person at $195—an ideal choice for solo adventurers, students, or smaller groups keeping an eye on their budget.
The Lokahi Difference
No matter which charter style you choose, the Lokahi promise stays the same. Both private and semi-private tours include:
Private dive guides exclusively for your group
Small group sizes for a more intimate, safe, and engaging experience
Flexible booking tailored to your schedule
Top-of-the-line gear, included with every dive
While we love hosting private charters, we understand that Hawaii’s paradise can come with a hefty price tag. That’s why we created our semi-private options—to offer the same premier dive experience for those seeking a more cost-conscious way to explore Oahu’s underwater wonders.
Whether you dive in luxury with a private boat or join the camaraderie of a semi-private adventure, Lokahi Scuba is here to make every dive unforgettable. Your ocean journey starts with us—book your adventure today!

What to Expect
Your personalized Electric Beach shore dive starts before you even hit the sand! A few days before your adventure, one of our experienced Lokahi Scuba guides will personally reach out to learn more about your dive preferences, where you're staying, and how the weather and ocean conditions are shaping up. This ensures your experience is custom-tailored to your comfort level and interests from the very beginning.
On dive day, you’ll have the option to either meet us directly at Electric Beach or arrange for a convenient hotel pickup—whatever works best for your group. Once we’re together, your guide will provide you with high-quality scuba gear and walk you through a thorough safety and dive briefing, making sure everyone feels confident and ready to explore.
Electric Beach is one of Oahu’s most exciting shore dives, known for its warm water outflow that attracts huge schools of fish, curious sea turtles, and the occasional spotted eagle ray. Your dive will be paced to suit your comfort and skill level, and guided by a local pro who knows every coral head and lava arch like the back of their hand.
After your dive, we’ll rinse off your gear while you relax with complimentary snacks and drinks. We’ll also review the best underwater moments captured on camera and "talk story" about what made your dive special. It’s the perfect way to wind down and relive the magic.
